Fixture of ICC World Cup Qualifier Zimbabwe-2023 unveils; Nepal gets Zimbabwe as first opponent

Kathmandu: The fixture of the ICC World Cup Qualifier Zimbabwe-2023 has been unveiled.

Nepal will play its first match against Zimbabwe on June 18. On June 20, Nepal will compete with the USA.

On the third match, June 22, Nepal and West Indies will be competing. Nepal and Netherlands will compete on June 24.

Nepal will play two warmup matches before the qualifier. Nepal will with UAE in Old Harrarians on June 13. And with Oman on June 13 in Harare.

A total of 10 teams are participating in the qualifiers. The nations have been divided into Groups ‘A’ and ‘B.’ West Indies, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, USA, and Nepal are in Group A. Oman, Ireland, Srilanka, Scotland, and UAE are in Group ‘B.’

Every team will play 4 matches in the group stage. The nations remaining Top 3 in group stages will enter the Super 6. The 3 nations from each group will compete in Super 6.

The top 2 teams in the Super 6 will book their place in the ICC ODI World Cup tournament. India will be hosting the world cup in October.

The top 8 teams in the World Cup Super League- India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa have already qualified for the world cup.
