Kami Rita Sherpa climbs Mt. Everest 27 times, breaks his own world record

Kathmandu: Nepali mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa has scaled the highest peak in the world Mt. Everest for the 27th time.

Seven Summit Treks said that Sherpa reached the peak at 8:30 am on Wednesday. Sherpa had even broken his own world record of climbing Mt. Everest for the highest number of times. He completed his 26th ascent on 7th May 2022.

Sherpa, born on the 2nd, 1970, has been climbing mountains for 2 decades. He is a local resident of Thame Village, Solukhumbu.

His mountaineering journey started as an assistant member during the Mt. Everest expedition in 1992. Sherpa has been climbing Mt. Everest fearlessly since his first expedition.

Sherpa has also climbed the mountains like K2, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Manaslu, and other peaks.
