ACC Premier Cup final to resume tomorrow

Kathmandu: The ACC Men’s Premier Cup final will resume tomorrow as the rainfall stopped today’s match between Nepal and United Ara Emirates (UAE).

The final match between Nepal and UAE has been twice delayed today due to rain. According to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), it will continue from the current score on tomorrow’s reserve day.

In the last match of the tournament, Nepal elected to field first against UAE.

Put into batting first, UAE has posted 106 runs so far with the loss of 9 wickets in 27.3 overs. Asif Khan collected the highest runs, scoring 46 off 54 balls. While captain Muhammad Waseem made 11 runs out of 8 balls.

Aryan Lakra and Basil Hamid scored 13 and 1o runs respectively. But the other players of UAE could not manage to cross double digit runs.

Nepali bowler Lalit Rajbanshi has taken 3 wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC has bagged 2 wickets each. Sompal Kami and Gulsan Jha each has one wicket.

The winner of the final will play against India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup to be held in September. Nepal is aiming to play the Asia Cup for the first time.
