Rain hampers ACC Premier Cup semi-final between Nepal and Kuwait

Kathmandu: The semi-final match under ACC Men’s Premier Cup between Nepal and Kuwait has been hampered by the rain.

After Kuwait won the toss and elected to field first, Nepal was put into bat at TU cricket ground in the first semi of the tournament.

Though the match has been delayed due to rain, Nepal has scored 141 runs in 23.2 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Nepali openers Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh made a good start with the strike rate of over 100 percent.

Bhurtel collected 43 off 39 balls. He was caught out, hitting 7 fours and 1 six while Sheikh ended on a 31-ball 28 with four boundaries. Bhim Karki was out with just scoring 1 run.

Likewise, Captain Rohit Poudel and Kushal Malla has managed to post 30 and 32 runs so far. On the part of Kuwait, Adnan Idrees and Mohammed Aslam has taken 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
