ACC Premier Cup Semi-final: Nepal to bat first against Kuwait

Kathmandu: Nepal is batting against Kuwait in the ACC Men’s Premier Cup semi-final today.

As Kuwait opted to bowl first after winning the toss, Nepal is taking on the former by batting at TU cricket ground. Nepal was qualified for the semi-finals as the winner of Group A and Kuwait advanced ahead as the runner-up of Group B.

Nepal and Kuwait have faced each other three times so far.  Nepal won two matches while Kuwait gained victory in one.

UAE will face Oman in the second semi-final at Mulpani cricket ground.

The winners of the semi-final will advance to the final of the Cup. Nepal has not lost a single match in the ongoing tournament. Kuwait has lost only to UAE in this tournament.

Nepal had defeated Qatar, Oman and Malaysia, while the match against Saudi Arabia was canceled due to rain.

The winner of the tournament will play in the Asia Cup to be held in September in Pakistan.
