ACC Premier Cup: Hong Kong registers win over Singapore

Kathmandu: Hong Kong has begun the ACC Premier Cup 2023 with a victory over Singapore.

Hong Kong defeated Singapore by 8 wickets in the match held at the Mulpani cricket ground on Tuesday.

Hong Kong succeeded to chase the target of 175 runs in 33 overs with a loss of 2 wickets.

Babar Hayat completed his century by smashing 10 boundaries and 6 sixes to contribute 108 runs for the victory of Hong Kong. Captain Nizakat Khan smashed 3 boundaries and one six out of 89 balls to contribute 51 balls.

Bowlers Aritra Dutta and Ramesh Kalimuthu took a 1–1 wicket for Singapore.

Previously, Singapore set a target of 174 runs for Hong Kong in the first innings. The team was all out in 42.1 overs. Captain Aritra contributed 49 runs and Aaryan Modi 20 runs for the team.

In course of packing Singapore, Ehsan Khan took 4 and Yasim Murtaza 3 wickets for Hong Kong. Ayush Shukla, Aizaz Khan, and Mohammad Ghazanfar bagged a 1–1 wicket for Hong Kong.
