‘Everything is illusion except building of alternative power’: Dr. Bhattarai

Kathmandu: Chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party and Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has coined any other things as illusions other than the campaign of building new alternative power.

Dr. Bhattarai shared his opinion through social media after coming back from Tikapur on Wednesday.

He had recently completed his journey from Tikapur to Kathmandu through Gulariya, Nepalgunj, Kapilvastu, Butwal, and Bhairahawa.

Dr. Bhattarai writes,’ I had the opportunity of exchanging ideas with many friends and well-wishers during this journey. I found a major concern and threat regarding the economy-political crisis.’

He even added, ‘I have found spreading of the illusion of Nepal Samajwadi Party merging with the Maoist Centre.’

Dr. Bhattarai claimed that the friends of the ruling party have been focusing more on the engrossing arithmetic of power rather than concentrating on structural reform. He has signaled this as a warning.

He wrote that Nepal Samajwadi has been attempting to reform as the new alternative power with the completion of various cycles.

Dr. Bhattarai has given two solutions for the formation of alternative power in social media’ post.

He wrote, ‘First solution can be of building a new socialist power-center by restructuring old powers including Maoist Centre restructured into a new socialist power-center! The second might be to build an alternative progressive democratic force by collaborating with new emerging progressive forces! Rest are illusions.’
