We won’t protect corrupt people: Rabi Lamichhane

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) president Rabi Lamichhane has said that he would not protech any leaders and cadres involved in fraudulent transaction and corruption.

Lamichhane claimed that RSP is not a kind of party that retains, protects and nurtures the corrupt individuals.  In a Facebook post, he wrote that party will not tolerate any offenses related to financial transaction.

President Lamichhane has also urged the party leaders not to worry as it is difficult to identify bad people because RSP is newly formed party.

He also stated that the audio clip is a part of conspiracy to attack the party and being weaponized for by-election. ‘If the potato is found rotten, I know how to prevent it from spoiling the bag,’, he further said.

Lamichhane’s Facebook status came after an audio clip of RSP’s lawmaker Dhaka Kumar Shreshtha demanding 20 million rupees from businessman Durga Prasai. RSP has suspended Shreshtha and sought clarification from him.
