Furious Mayor Balen : Extreme negligence of government results in undisposed garbage in Singhadurbar

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan’s Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has blamed the negligence of the government that compelled him to decide to stop the disposal of the garbage of Singhadurbar.

Mayor Shah even added that it was not an instantaneous decision but a result of a series of negligence, carelessness, and irresponsibility from the government in progressive attempts of the metropolitan.

Mayor Shah wrote a long list of decisions that are pending due to the irresponsibility of the government, in his Facebook status today.

The distance between Singhadurbar and the Metropolitan office is 500 meters. But Metropolitan has done numerous exercises to reach the government.

He even mentioned that the government has not been listening to the needs of the Metropolitan, which compelled him for taking the decision.

Mayor Shah even blamed the federal government has not shown any interest in coordinating with the local government in order to solve the problem of the general people.

He even complained that it has been tough to coordinate and execute the decided plans within the time period of 9 months.

Mayor Shah has listed 15-points examples that the Metropolitan has been unable to execute due to a lack of coordination with the government.
