House Speaker to hold talks with top leaders

Kathmandu:

The Speaker of House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire is set to meet the top leaders of the three major political parties.

Ghimire is scheduled to hold talks with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The meeting is slated for 4 pm today at to be held at Singha Durbar. The meeting of the top leaders and the Speaker will center on the bills regarding the constitutional council and the transitional justice.

The government has registered both bills in parliament. The meeting will also discuss the formation of a parliamentary committee.

Although a new parliament has been in operation after the elections, parliamentary committees have not been formed.
