Supreme Court seeks reason for Rabi’s unpunished case dismissal  

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court (SC) has asked the reason for the Attorney General’s decision to dismiss Rabi Lamichhane’s case without punishment.

Justice Harip Prasad Phuyal’s single bench responded to a writ against Lamichhane by issuing a show cause order on Wednesday.

This has supported the candidacy of Lamichhane in the upcoming by-election to be held in Chitwan on April 23 (Baisakh 10).

4 writs had been filed demanding the dismissal of candidacy against Lamichhane in the Election Officer’s Office on 4^th April.

Nominees, representatives of nominees, and Advocate Yubraj Poudel (Safal) had filed writs.

Representative of Janakraj Sharma of Rastriya Janamorcha Dammar Puri, Independent Nominee duo Santosh Thapa and Ambika Bhaata had filed the writ in the Election Officer’s Office.
