Kathmandu: Six people of the same village have died in a jeep accident in Baidadi district.
According to the Baitadi district police office, the accident occurred on Tuesday night (11:30pm) in Patan Municipality-2. The passengers who lost their lives were from the same village.
Police inspector Yogesh Khatri informed that the deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Mane Bohara, 40-year-old Nare Bohara, 35-year-old Gorakh Bohara, 45-year-old Man Bahadur Bohara, 45-year-old Birkha Bohara and 45-year-old Bire Bohara of Kedarasyu village municipality-5.
Five passengers escaped unhurt, saving their lives jumping from the ill-fated jeep. The driver of the jeep was out of contact, the police said.
The accident took place while the jeep (se1ja764) lost the balance while it was travelling from Jhulaghat of Baitadi to Bhagthala of Bajhang district.
