Nepal fails to reach Global Qualifier

Kathmandu: Nepal has lost the match against Thailand in the ICC Women’s T-20 Asia Region Qualifier.

Thailand defeated Nepal by 46 runs in the semifinal. Nepal was able to add only 59 runs in 19.3 overs while chasing the target set by Thailand. Kabita Kunwar scored 17 runs for Nepal. Thipatcha Putthawong and Onnicha Kamchomphu took 3 wickets each for Thailand.

Earlier, Thailand scored 105 runs losing 2 wickets in 20 overs. Nannapat Koncharoenkai scored 59 runs for Thailand. Puja Mahato and Kabita Kunwar took 1 wicket each for Nepal.

With this defeat, the journey of Nepal towards the final and Global Qualifier has ended. Whereas, Thailand has reached the Global Qualifier.

ICC started Global Qualifiers in 2013 A.D. But Nepal has not been able to book its spot  in the global qualifier.
