Attacker Sapkota's statement of belonging to 'Royal Group'

Kathmandu: Shyam Bahadur Sapkota has stated belonging to a ‘Royal Group.’

Sapkota attacked Nepali Congress Joint General Secretary Mahendra Yadav with a khukuri at an event of Reporters Club on Wednesday. Sapkota gave the statement that he attacked Yadav to save the nation.

Sapkota is a resident of Nuwakot District Bidur Municipality-7. He attacked Yadav from behind when he was about to leave the event.

Sapkota was part of the event and was listening to the speech of Yadav. He brutally injured Yadav in the attack. His treatment is going on at the National Trauma Centre.
