12 points explanatory declaration must be part of MCC: Maoist(Centre)

Kathmandu: The ruling party CPN (Maoist Centre) has given measures for implementing the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Agni Sapkota said that the 12-point explanatory declaration must be part of the MCC. Sapkota, the spokesperson of the Maoist (Centre) during a Press Meet on Friday, talked about the measures.

Sapkota said that it was the ultimate solution for implementing the MCC. He said,’ This declaration must be part of the MCC clearly, officially and coordinately.’

The MCC came into implementation on 30^th August (13^th Bhadra). However, political parties are divided regarding the implementation of MCC. Communist Parties including Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav C’ led Nepal Communist Party are raising voices for the dismissal of MCC. Even several leaders of the Maoists have supported the idea. Spokesperson Sapkota shared the party’s ideas during such a phase.

The parliament had declared a 12-point explanatory declaration when MMC was approved on 27^th February 2022 (15^th Falgun, 2078 B.S.). That declaration has not been submitted to America yet. Members of Maoists have been asking for the cancellation of MCC if the submission of the declaration gets rejected.

Sapkota said that ideas and theories were required for politics. He said that new political parties were attempting to develop thoughts like politics not requiring ideas. Sapkota said, ‘Maoist Centre directly opposes such attempts. Politics becomes successful only with principles. And when people can be reached.’
