Kathmandu: A discussion has taken place between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as well as ministers of various ministries, secretaries, and Mayor Balen Shah.
According to Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the discussion revolved around the refugee problem in Kathmandu and the construction of Tinkune Park.
Deputy Prime Minister, as well as Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Urban Development Minister Sita Gurung, Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Ranjeeta Shrestha, Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration Anita Devi Shah, Mayor Balen, Chief Secretary of Government of Nepal Dr. Baikuntha Aryal, and secretaries of various departments of ministries, were present in the meeting.
Mayor Balen requested the support of the government in the refugee case in Kathmandu. There was also a discussion regarding the construction of the Tinkune-Jadibuti underpass. Also, various alternatives were discussed to solve the refugee problem in Kathmandu.
