I didn’t flee away even when the King was trying to arrest me: Madhav Kumar Nepal

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has returned to Nepal to conclude his Europe visit.

Nepal had an interaction with media persons at the Tribhuvan International Airport. He said that he lessened his Europe visit as the wrong news was circulating related to him in the Lalita Niwas land grab scandal.

Nepal said that he was not the kind of person who runs away from challenges. He said, ‘I was labeled absconding. But, I am not a person who flees away. I didn’t flee away even when the King was trying to arrest me. I have not committed any crime. I did not commit any corruption. There was a pre-schedule for my visit. It was contextual so I went.’

Nepal said that he would help in the investigation of the Lalita Niwas land grab scandal. He said that he was fearless as he had not committed any crime. He said, ‘I neither committed crime nor corruption. These situations have not panicked me.’

Nepal went on the Europe visit just the day after the Supreme Court ordered to investigate the case.
