Kathmandu: Transportation companies and drivers have protested in front of the Department of Transport Management, New Baneshwor.
More than 50 taxis blocked the road and placed various demands. They protested along with several agendas. Stopping vehicles with red number plates to collect fares and restricting vehicles with Indian number plates on Nepali roads are some of their demands.
Similarly, their demands include: establishing a common taxi fare across the nation, deducting 260 percent import tax on all vehicles, and receiving 25 lakhs as compensation if one dies in an accident.
