Kathmandu: The seminar titled ”Engineering Innovation for Sustainable Ecosystem’ has been successfully conducted.
Ambassador of India to Nepal Naveen Srivastava inaugurated the seminar. It was held at Kathmandu University (KU), Dhulikhel.
The seminar ‘Engineering Innovation for Sustainable Ecosystem’ was jointly organized by KU’s Nepal Centre for Contemporary Studies and the Embassy of India Kathmandu. The seminar successfully shed life upon innovative engineering solutions to foster a sustainable environment.
Ambassador Srivastava shared about the Mission LiFE campaign and start-up ecosystem. He said, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Mission LiFE. This has helped India to become the second or third-largest start-up ecosystem in the world. And it is the best ecosystem we have.’

Ambassador Srivastava also shared ideas about the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations declaring the year 2023 as the International Year of Millets 2023. He shared how millet was a nutritious element in the life of Nepalese and Indian communities.
Mission LiFE mainly focuses on combating climate change and building sustainable ecosystems. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced Mission LiFE to the world at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow in 2021.
