Kathmandu: A drone attack has occurred in an ammunition depot in Crimea. Authorities evacuated the area within a 5 km radius of the depot area on Saturday.

Moscow-installed governor said that the evacuation resulted in a traffic jam in the bridge that links Russia and the peninsula.

According to Reuters, the Ukrainian army had destroyed the oil depot and Russian army warehouses in central Crimea. Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky, on Friday, said that the bridge was the lawful target as it was a vital route for Russia for supplying ammunition.

Russian-installed Sergei Aksyonov said that the attack resulted in an ammunition depot explosion. He said that the explosion led to a disturbance in the rail traffic, which later came back to normal operation.

Medical assistance was provided to 12 people and 4 people were taken to the hospital, as per Russian news agencies. The attack is reported to be the second major attack on the bridge after the beginning of the war. Earlier, an explosion on the bridge resulted in three people’s deaths.

Russian forces had been using the bridge as the route for logistics supplies. And Russian tourists use the route for going to Crimea in summer.
