Heavy rainfall in Lumbini, Gandaki provinces; flood alert issued

Kathmandu: Heavy rainfall has occurred at some places of Lumbini and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, heavy rainfall has occurred in Tanahun, Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Rupandehi, Dang and Kapilvastu districts.

The Division has appealed to all people to stay alert till 1 pm today as there is a high risk of floods and landslides in the hilly areas of these districts.

Similarly, heavy rainfall occurred in Nawalpur, Lamjung, Kaski, Ilam, Taplejung and Dadeldhura districts last night. It is still raining in many parts of the country except for the SudurPaschim province.
