Self-immolation attempt turns Maitighar stressful; Sloganeering against K.P. Oli and Bidhya Bhandari (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: A citizenship bill victim has attempted self-immolation in Maitighar Mandala. The district polices said that the man attempted self-immolation by sprinkling kerosene on his body as the citizenship had not passed.

Police said that the victim was rescued immediately and was taken to the Bir Hospital immediately. Police identified the victim as Niraj Kamat.

This has fueled the demonstration. A few youths began sloganeering against K.P. Sharma Oli and Bidhya Devi Bhandari. The demonstrators also thrashed their photos and burned them.
