Propriety of the republic could not be proved unless the living standard of people improves: PM Dahal

Kathmandu: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed the need for unity between all the political parties and Nepalese people to institutionalize the development of the federal democratic republican system of government.

PM Dahal shared the need while marking the celebration of Republic Day at Sainik Manch, Tundikhel on Monday. He said that it was normal to have various opinions and thoughts in a democracy.

Dahal said that the foundation of national unity could be strengthened only with a similar mentality between the political parties and Nepalese people on a vital national issue. He added that the republic would not be sustainable unless people could not easily utilize their rights in the constitution.

Dahal said that the propriety of democracy and republic could not be proved unless there was a qualitative improvement in the living standard of the people. He emphasized the need of indulging in the field of action to uplift the living standard of the people as soon as possible.
