Westerly wind causes light rainfall across country

Kathmandu: The country has seen a general influence of westerly wind and local wind, causing light rainfall in many places, including the Kathmandu valley.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that light rainfall is occurring in different parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.

Light rainfall is taking place in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki province, according to Rojan Lamichhane, the meteorologist at the Division.

Lamichhane also said that the weather system is gradually moving towards the east and rainfall will occur in the north-eastern parts of the country.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of windstorm in some places of Koshi and Madhes province.
