Five killed in Jeep accident

Rukum: Five people died in a jeep accident at Turidhara Mosekhola of Banfikot rural municipality-8 in West Rukum.

Dhan Bahadur KC, ward chair of Banfikot rural municipality-8, said that five people, including a 22-day-old infant and a mother, were killed in the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Rekha KC of Banfikot rural municipality-5, her 22-day-old son, Deuchan Khatri, Karne Batha Magar and Shitla KC of Sanibheri rural municipality-5.

Shitla died while being taken to hospital and others died on the spot.

The jeep with number plate Lu 1 Ja 1747 fell about 500 meters down the road at Turidhara Mosephola. The ill-fated jeep was enroute to Musikot Khalanga from Hansu of Sanibheri rural municipality-5.
