Police not to submit investigation report today

Kathmandu: Police have decided not to submit the investigation report of the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal today.

Although the Public Prosecution Office had directed the police administration to submit the report relating to the case. But, police said the investigation was still to be completed.

According to Kathmandu District Police Circle. all the phases to be completed during the investigation have not been completed yet. Police had extended the custody time limit of the arrested people under the fraud and organized crime offenses.

Under this provision, there is a protocol of presenting the alleged people in the court after the completion of the investigation, within 60 days, through the District Attorney’s Office.

Previously, the Attorney’s Office had planned of submitting the report for study on Wednesday. But police will be extending the time for completing the investigation.
