Ukraine shoots down 18 Russian missiles in Kyiv

Kathmandu: Ukraine has been successful to defend Kyiv from a missile attack on Kyiv. According to Ukraine, 18 Russian missiles had been shot down. Ukrainian officials had claimed the attack as a highly dense attack.

The bombardment through missiles and drones resulted in the death of about 3 people. Valerii Zaluzhyny, Ukraine Armed Force head, said that Russia had attacked Kyiv from the north, south, and east, using airstrikes, land-based as well as marine missiles.

The officials warned the local residents of Kyiv to stay away from the windows to protect them from the debris of the bombardment. Vitali Klitschko, mayor of the district, said that the rocket debris fell in the central area of the district.

The International Airport in Solomyansky has been affected by the attacks. The Ukrainian authorities have been claiming to successfully defend the air strikes. The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been on a European tour for getting military support for the country. He has received the assurance of getting support from France, the UK, and Western allies.
