Kathmandu: Shailung Hill, the highest peak in the Mahabharat range, located on the border of Dolakha and Ramechhap districts, is becoming an attractive tourist destination.
Situated between Shailung Rural Municipality of Dolakha and Doramba Shailung Rural Municipality of Ramechhap, Shailung Hill has been gaining popularity among both domestic and international tourists.
Shailung Hill stands at an altitude of 3,300 meters above sea level. At the top, there is a vast open field dotted with 100 small hillocks of varying shapes, which captivate every visitor who reaches there.
From these hillocks, one can enjoy panoramic views of several Himalayan ranges, including Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gaurishankar, and even Mount Everest.
