World’s tallest statue of Shiva at Sanga (Photos)

Kathmandu: The Kailashnath Mahadev Statue is the world’s tallest Shiva statue, located in Sanga.

It is located on the border between Bhaktapur and Kavrepalanchok. Kamal Jain and his company played a key role in the construction of the statue.

Rejuvenating Pumdikot (Photo Feature)

The 144-foot-high statue is made from copper, steel, zinc, and cement. The construction of the statue began in 2004 and was completed in 2011.

From the temple, visitors can view Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, including the mountain range.  To reach the temple, the people have to travel a distance of 22 km.
