Kathmandu: The construction of a pedestrian bridge in Gwarko is in limbo.
The construction of the pedestrian bridge was initiated 2 years ago. The construction of the bridge was expected to make the movement of pedestrians smooth in the road section of Gwarko, Mahalaxmisthan, Ekantakuna, and Kalanki.
The foundation pillars of concrete have been erected, but there is no progress in the work. With this, pedestrians are compelled to cross the road bearing their own risk to their lives.
Pedestrians said it is life-threatening to cross the road where high-speed vehicles operate.
