Kathmandu: Bhumi Puja is a festival celebrated by the Magar community to worship the land and nature.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Nepal Magar Association has organized a three-day Bhumi Puja festival at Tundikhel in Kathmandu starting today.

As the monsoon season begins, the ritual is performed to prevent natural disasters and ensure the safety of crops.

It is believed that worshiping the land pleases the deities and prevents any form of catastrophe on Earth. The festival holds significance in protecting against natural and divine calamities.
