CIAA files corruption case against KMC's former Chief Administrative Officer and 6 others

Kathmandu: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against former Chief Administrative Officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Pradeep Pariyar, along with six others.

The case was filed at the Special Court on Wednesday, alleging corruption in the contract for sewer construction under the Samakhusi Corridor, from Basundhara to Mhepi.

The charge sheet also lists Kathmandu Metropolitan City officials, including Directors Rabin Man Shrestha, Shivaraj Adhikari, Basanta Acharya, and Namaraj Dhakal; Assistant Director Uttam Dahal; and Engineer Janardan Giri as defendants.
