Kathmandu: The public has faced difficulty in traveling due to the public transportation strike called by Transport Entrepreneurs.

However, ride-sharing services are taking advantage due to the unavailability of public transport.  Ride-sharing services like Pathao, In-drive are seen at bus stops. The riders of the service have replaced the public vehicles at the bus stop, which used to be packed with public vehicles.

However, Mayur Yatayat, Sajha bus, a force vehicle, and a few rental taxis are operating. Nepal Police and Armed Police also operated free bus services on 2 routes.

Despite an agreement between the government and the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs-FNNTE on Monday to write to the Gandaki province government regarding the dismissal of the ‘ride-sharing’ regulation, transport entrepreneurs didn’t operate public transport on Tuesday.
