Arjun Narsingh KC welcomes ceasefire between India and Pakistan

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress lawmaker Arjun Narsingh KC has welcomed the declaration of a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, Lawmaker KC expressed sorrow over the violation of the ceasefire agreement just hours after its announcement.

‘Even before we could fully welcome the recent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, unfortunate reports of its violation have started to emerge. The agreement should be implemented with sincerity so that the dark cloud of terrorism can be permanently cleared from this region. The elimination of terrorism is the foremost necessity for regional peace and stability,’ said Lawmaker KC, ‘With nearly a hundred terrorist organizations active and global public opinion firmly united against terrorism, it is our collective duty and responsibility to support and uphold a firm, uncompromising stance against all forms of terrorism, which remains a major threat to global peace.’

The lawmaker also emphasized that the dark cloud of terrorism must be permanently eradicated from the region.
