Van-Motorcycle collision in Tinkune: One dies, 3 injured

Kathmandu: A bus (registration number Ba 3 Kha 7062), coming from Pepsi-Cola towards Ratna Park, hit a Maruti van and a motorcycle at Tinkune on Thursday morning, resulting in the death of a young woman and injuring three others.

According to Apil Raj Bohora, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Nagina Tamang (23 years old )of Nuwakot, who was riding the motorcycle, died during treatment following the accident.

The injured include Padam Thapa Magar (27) of Doramba, Ramechhap, who was driving the motorcycle; Ratna Bahadur Sarki (35) of Mandandeupur, Kavrepalanchok, who was driving the van; and Menuka Budhathoki (24) of Gaurishankar, Dolakha, who was a passenger on the bus that caused the accident.

Police have taken the bus driver Ram Kumar Khadka, as well as the van and the motorcycle, into custody.
