NA directs government to impartially investigate death of Nepali students in KIIT

Kathmandu: National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal has drawn the attention of the government to impartially investigate the death of Nepali students in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT).

After NA Members expressed their opinion on the issue, during an emergency and zero hours of the meeting on Sunday, chairperson Dahal said that the incident of Nepali student Prisha Sah’s death drew the serious attention of the assembly. The chairperson urged the government to investigate the truth of the incident. Prisha was found hanged in her hostel room.

NA Members urge to stop enrollment of students in KIIT

Chairperson Dahal said that the same incident of the Pakriti case was repeating in the same college, which was sad. He said the governments of Nepal and India must adopt a diplomatic approach to investigate the reason behind the repetition of such incidents.

NA members stressed on stopping the need to stop the college after the second death of a Nepali student, Prisha Sah, at KIIT in the past three months. Earlier, Prakriti Lamsal from Butwal was found dead in the hostel of the same campus. Now, Sah has been found dead.
