Man murders wife over family dispute

Kathmandu: A man has murdered his wife by attacking her with a wooden stick at Beni municipality-7 in Myagdi district.

The deceased has been identified as Bhagawati BK (27 years old) of Jaljala rural municipality-3 in Parbat district, currently living at Mangalghat in Myagdi district.

According to a preliminary investigation, Bhagawati died on the spot when Raju BK hit his wife Bhagawati on the head with a wooden stick over a domestic dispute.

Police Inspector Sagar Poudel said Bhagawati’s body was kept at Beni Hospital for post-mortem. Police have started an investigation into the case by arresting Raju from the Jyamrukkot community forest at Beni municipality-2.
