Teachers rebuke CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Leaders: Work inside Parliament; Coming to streets holds no meaning

Kathmandu: Teachers expressed anger toward senior leaders of the CPN (Unified Socialist) who came to show solidarity with the teachers’ protest.

The teachers suggested that instead of taking to the streets, the leaders should play an effective role within the Parliament to address their demands. They criticized the top leaders, stating that it was under their party’s leadership that the Education Committee was stalling the bill.

‘The Education Committee is under your leadership. It is the Education Committee that is causing delays with the bill. To address our demands, you need to be strong in Parliament, not on the streets. You should be putting pressure within Parliament to pass the Act. Your own party leader chairs the committee, and he is delaying the bill. You should work inside the Parliament; coming to the streets holds no meaning,’ the teachers said.

no meaning in taking to the streets while stalling the bill in the committee
