Kathmandu: The pro-monarchy party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), is holding a protest today (Sunday) at Bijulibazar in Kathmandu. The RPP, which has adopted a strategy to strengthen the movement through mass arrests, is preparing to breach the prohibited zone.

A meeting of the Central Executive Committee held on Thursday announced protest programs and decided to engage in mass arrests. The RPP has been staging a phase-wise movement demanding the release of those arrested during the Tinkune incident, including Senior Vice President Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Jabara.
