Preparation to present Durga Prasai and his bodyguard at Court

Kathmandu: The preparation to present Medical Entrepreneur Durga Prasai and his bodyguard Deepak Khadka in Court is underway.

Prasai and his bodyguard Khadka have been kept at the District Police Range, Bhadrakali, after being brought in Kathmandu via Buddha Air from Bhadrapur Airport on Friday.

Prasai absconded from the violent pro-monarchist protest at Tinkune on March 28 (Chaitra 15). He surrendered to Assam Police on Thursday.

Indian Police brought Prasai to Kakardbhitta and handed him over to Nepal Police. After Prasai was brought, his supporters gathered at the Kakardbhitta border.

Based on a security analysis of the obstacle posed by his supporters, it was decided to change the border crossing and to bring Prasai to Kathmandu via Bhadrapur Airport.
