Kathmandu: A truck driver has died when the truck he was driving fell into the Trishuli river.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Rabindra Khanal, the deceased is Ram Narayan Yadav (around 35 years old) from Sakhuwa, Rautahat.
The truck (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 4874) carrying coal veered off the road and plunged into the Trishuli river at Chaudha Kilo, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, on Tuesday morning. It was going towards Muglin from Narayangadh.
DSP Khanal said the truck driver and his assistant both were injured in the mishap and Yadav died while under treatment at Bharatpur Hospital at 8.30 a.m.
Police said helper of the truck 19-year-old Asundra Kumar Yadav of Garuda Municipality-5, Rautahat sustained injuries. He is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
