Russia and Ukraine launch air strikes to damage each other’s infrastructure

Kathmandu: Russia and Ukraine have launched air strikes to damage each other’s infrastructure.

The air strikes come after Russian President Vladimir Putin denied the US’s 30-day ceasefire proposal.

BBC cited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy as saying Russia targeted the “civilian infrastructure” overnight, including a hospital in Sumy.

During a call with US President Donald Trump on Tuesday, President Putin agreed to halt an attack on energy infrastructure for 30 days. However, Putin refused a full ceasefire with Ukraine.

Likewise, US envoy Steve Witoff said talks on Ukraine will continue in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
