PM Oli inspects ‘Sagarmatha Sambaad’ Secretariat

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the bodies concerned to streamline the ‘Sagarmatha Sambaad’ (Sagarmatha Dialogue) program.

The three-day program has been scheduled in Kathmandu from May 16. He issued such directives after carrying out an inspection and monitoring at Sagarmatha Sambaad Secretariat, which is in operation at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar on Friday.

A Directive Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Oli, Management Committee under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba where Minister for Forests Ain Bahadur Shahi is the Co-Chairperson.

Secretariat has been formed under the coordination of the Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. The government has invited heads of the nation and heads of the government of various countries including India and China as special guest in the program. Member-Secretary at the Secretariat, Dr Maheshwor Dhakal said that a press meet would be organized soon to inform about preparation of the program carried out so.

Prime Minister Oli announced to organized Sagarmatha Sambaad program in Kathmandu on the occasion of International Year of Glacier Preservation, 2025.

The government is organizing the program for the first time keeping Climate Change, Mountains and Future of Humanity.
