Prakriti’s Father: No one else should face such a situation

Kathmandu: Sunil Lamsal, the father of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal, who was found dead in the hostel of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, is currently in India.

After hearing about his daughter’s death, Prakriti’s father traveled to India and expressed his wish that “no one else should face such a situation.”

KIIT apologizes and suspends 3 staff members

Speaking to local media in Odisha, he said, ‘My daughter is gone. Other children are studying here. I hope no such incident happens in the future, and that no one else has to face this.’

Sunil also expressed confidence that both the Indian central government and the Odisha government would ensure justice for Prakriti. He said, ‘I have full trust and confidence in the government here. I have confidence in the police administration here. I believe they will give us justice.’
