US President Trump issues stern warning of taking strict action if Hamas halts hostage release

Kathmandu: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning after Hamas announced it would halt the release of Israeli hostages from Gaza.

President Trump warned that Hamas must release all hostages by noon on Saturday, stating that failure to do so would prompt him to take strict action. He said that he had set a deadline for Hamas regarding the future of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

‘If Hamas does not release all the hostages by noon on Saturday, I will urge Israel to cancel the agreement,’ he said at the Oval Office.

However, it remains unclear whether Trump was referring to noon or midnight on Saturday. According to a BBC report, he emphasized multiple times that all hostages must be released at once, not in phases.
