Prachanda: No certainty when Trump might make Nepali return, let’s strive in our country

Tehrathum: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has said that the primary reason behind the migration of youth manpower abroad is a matter of perspective rather than a lack of opportunities.

Inaugurating the Dhanrup Memorial Park in Lasune, Tehrathum, Chairperson Prachanda expressed concerns that a lack of patriotism and the trend of not loving the homeland resulted in seeking opportunities abroad.

The Chairperson said, “Is it like the feeling of patriotism is decreasing in us? It our love for our land is decreasing? I’m worried about it. I want to appeal to the general public. Let us inspire our children and future generations to love the country, cherish their land, and utilize the resources nature has bestowed upon us to become prosperous and self-reliant. Let’s not rush to send them abroad.’

Moreover, Chairperson Dahal commented on the current term of US President Donald Trump and his administration. He said, ‘Nothing is certain even in the abroad. Who knows what could happen? Just after Trump came into power, his one decision was displacing thousands of migrants. At any moment, thousands of Nepalis might have to return to Nepal. It is the same scenario even in the Middle East. Let’s strive on our land. Let’s utilize our resources and means to create an environment where we can create a sustainable future within our country.’
