11 injured in Jhapa’s bus accident

Kathmandu: 11 passengers have been injured when a bus met with an accident at Dharampur in Shivasatakshi Municiplaity-1, Jhapa.

Bus (Me 1 Kha 2545), heading to Dharan from Kakarbhitta, met with the accident at Dharampur at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

District Traffic Police Office Jhapa Information Officer Police Senior Deputy Inspector of Police, Arjun Sodari said the bus of Nagarik Yatayat went out of control fell down the road, and overturned.

Guna Koirala (54 years old) of Biratnagar-3, Deepa Niraula (34), Mayari Niraula (17), Nirmala Niraula (38), and Sharmila Koirala (59) were injured in an accident.

Likewise, Tanka Shivakoti (32) of  Shivasatkshi-8, Jhapa, Ansa Fiaden (30), Sumana Limbu (21), Pushpa Lal Adhikari( 51) of Birtamod Municipality-6, Chandra Lal Adhikari (49) and Shantiram Khatiwada (40) of Kamal Rural Municipality -6 were also injured in an accident.

The injured are receiving treatment at B and C Hospital, Biratmod. Police said that the driver Tika Meche (54) of Mechinagar-10, Dhulabari was arrested and further investigation is going on about the accident.
