Kathmandu: The wildfire in the forests of Los Angeles, USA, continues to spread rapidly. The death toll from the fire has also increased.
According to the BBC, Kristin Crowley, the chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department, reported that two people have died in the Palisades fire.
With this, the total number of deaths has reached seven. Earlier, it was reported that five people had died in the Eaton fire.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated that wildfires have also started in the western hills and warned that strong winds could cause the fire to spread rapidly.
She urged the public to follow the administration’s orders and evacuate the area. Fire Department Crowley said that the Palisades fire has spread across more than 19,000 acres, destroying over 5,300 homes and buildings.
