Kathmandu: At least nine people died due to an earthquake in China on Tuesday morning.

A powerful earthquake struck Tibet, China, as its epicenter on Tuesday morning.

According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake occurred in Dinggye County, near eastern Himalayan districts such as Dolakha, Solukhumbu, Sankhuwasabha, and Taplejung, its epicenter.

However, the intensity of the quake upon reaching Nepal was recorded at only 5.3 magnitude.

The earthquake, which struck at 6:50 AM on Tuesday, was felt more strongly in the eastern region.”
