South Korea’s Plane Crash Update: Death toll reaches 124

Kathmandu: The death toll of the people, who have been killed in a plane crash in South Korea, has reached 124.

The BBC cited the country’s fire service as saying the plane carrying 181 passengers crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea.

Out of 124, 54 have been identified as male and 57 as female. The gender of 13 people has not been identified.

1,562 personnel have been deployed for the rescue. According to the agency, 490 fire department employees and 455 police officers are also on the site.

South Korea’s National Fire Agency said the two survivors, a man and a woman, were both flight crews found in the tail side of the aircraft after the crash. The rescue team have taken them to the hospital.

According to Yonhap news agency, all domestic and international flights from Muan International Airport have been canceled.  The airport’s departure and arrival board on its website shows nearly all flights canceled.
